East Kingston, NH – Barbara J. ( DiVincenzo) Stempien, 70, passed away September 20, 2020 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH.
Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary (Vivace) DiVincenzo. Raised in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1968. Barbara was employed for over 20 years at Lucent Technologies. She loved to travel and enjoyed the outdoors, camping and spending time at the beach. Barbara was known for her knitting and crocheting. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her children, Scott M. Graham and his partner Tammy Wilson of Haverhill; Tanya L. Smerdon of East Kingston, NH; four grandchildren, Cameron Stempien, Brandon Brazil, Jack Graham and Max Graham; great grandchild Joli Croteau-Stempien; her siblings, Louise Lemerise and her husband Bernard of Exeter; Carol Palen and her husband John of AZ; Patricia Shurburne and her husband Alan of Haverhill; Paula Lajoie and her husband Larry of Haverhill; Patrick DiVincenzo and his wife Judy of Kittery, ME; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Angela Goldsmith and her son in law David Smerdon.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, September 23, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Thursday morning at 9:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill.
