Haverhill – Mary T. (Greaney) DiPerri, 84 wife of Joseph R. DiPerri, passed away November 19, 2020 at Boston Medical Center.
Born in Norwood, MA she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Conroy) Greaney. Raised and educated in Norwood, she attended Norwood High School. Mary met her husband Joseph while working in Norwood and they were married on September 1, 1957. With her family, Mary lived in Peabody for 49 years before moving to Haverhill nine years ago. Mary spent her time as a homemaker while her children were young but once they were grown she spent many years working at Comstar in Ipswich as their Office Manager. With a love for the ocean, she was an avid boater and enjoyed the many friendships that grew from her time spent time on their boat at the Gloucester Marina. She enjoyed traveling to Boston, Kennebunkport, Italy and St. Martin. Mary was also known as a talented seamstress. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her loving husband Joseph, Mary is survived by her children, Joseph T. DiPerri of Haverhill; Diane D. Coons and her husband Lyle of Manchester, MA; Janice A. Cerone and her husband Dick of Stratford, CT; Denise N. Lucier of Rowley; seven grandchildren, Ryan Coons, Tyler Coons, Michael Cerone, Abby Cerone, Drew Cerone, Zachary Lucier and Corie Lucier; three great grandchildren, Aiden Cerone, Sebastian Coons and Nora Coons; a sister, Catherine Goddard of Foxboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Adams and a brother Thomas Greaney.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a calling hour on Tuesday, November 24th from 11:00AM until 12:00 Noon at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill, MA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake Street, Peabody, MA.
