Haverhill – Marie M. (Vermette) Webster, 82, wife of the late Gerald A. Webster, passed away January 3, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Born in Abitibi, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Germaine (Desjardins) Vermette-Tremblay. She came to the United States in 1952 with her family and attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School. Marie was employed in the local shoe industry and at various hotels and nursing homes in the Merrimack Valley. She was a huge sports fan of baseball, football and hockey and was a professional bowler. Marie had an energetic spunk and unique way of describing how she saw life and all it had to offer. Marie loved to walk and watch her gameshows. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marie is survived by her children, Jacqui A. (Webster) Tarr of Haverhill; Brian J. Webster and his wife Tracey (Judson) of Merrimac; four grandchildren, Matthew D. Webster, Meagan R. Webster, Carson J. Tarr and Averi M. Tarr; a sister Celina Davis of GA and a brother Roland Vermette of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews; a sister in law, Shirley Webster of Haverhill. In addition to her husband Gerald she was predeceased by her siblings, Gerard Vermette, John Vermette, Yvonne Vermette and Jacqueline Vermette. Her sister in law, Theresa (Mazza) Webster passed hours previous to Marie
