Haverhill – James A. Mitchell, III, 52, passed away February 27, 2021 at his home in Haverhill.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Margaret A. (Cook) Pajak of Methuen and James A. Mitchell Jr. He attended Haverhill Public Schools and Whittier Tech in Small Engine Repair. He was employed in retail at the Spirit Halloween store. James was known in Haverhill for often playing Santa Claus. He enjoyed playing darts and games on his computer. He had a great sense of humor, loved his family and was a homebody. James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
James is survived by his mother Margaret Pajak and his stepfather Allen Pajek, his father and his wife, James A. Mitchell Jr. and Rebecca C., brothers, William M. Mitchell and Anthony D. Tuttle, both of Haverhill; step brothers, Richard S. Ball Jr. of NH, Randy S. Ball, Ronald E. Ball and Rodney E. Ball, all of Haverhill; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

March 10, 2021 at 3:29 pmI was one of many recent online friends of Jim. We found him to be friendly, polite, engaging, and with a fine sense of humor. We appreciated his company and looked forward to chatting with him each day. He was in the initial stages of learning to be an online disc jockey. Though he did not feel quite ready for prime time, a friend who had access to his music collection shared his setlist with us. Jim enjoyed a wide variety of rock, pop and country music, and it was a thrill to listen to what he had collected. I wish we had gotten to know him more. Our prayers to the family and friends.
