Haverhill – Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Mahoney-Clark was born in Boston. She was an only child to the late Katherine “Kay” Hawkins and the late Anthony Manzelli, who always called her Betty. Liz grew up in Dorchester where she graduated from Saint Gregory’s. Her greatest accomplishments being a self – taught legal secretary and word processor. Liz will forever be remembered as an intelligent, fun-loving individual that never hid behind her feelings. She was a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen with “Born to Run’ one of her favorite songs. After a lengthy illness, Liz passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
She is survived by her beloved husband Frank ‘Bud’ Clark, her children Kimberly O’Neill and husband Adam; Bobby Grasso; stepdaughter Lisa Ann Mattaliano; and three grandchildren, Dominic O’Neill, Lauren Mattaliano and Stephen Mattaliano.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church, 68 William Cardinal O’Connell Way, Boston on Saturday, May 1 at 11:00AM. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Donations to be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, Methuen or High Pointe Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill. The family gives thanks to the staff at High Pointe Hospice House for their continuous efforts in making her comfortable during her last days.
