I am really saddened to hear this. I didn’t have her for any class but she was special to all of us. A real Sweetheart, may she RIP!! My sincerest condolences to the family.

  2. Karen Zybert says

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Peele’s family. I studied 3 years of French with her and enjoyed every minute. It was with great joy that I ran into her again many years later at church. She was a great lady.

  3. Bill Costello says

Mrs. Peel was my homeroom and French teacher for my freshman year at HHS. She was passionate, caring, tough, and honest…exactly the type of person and teacher needed to control a rambunctious group of teenagers dipping their toes into a foreign language. But beyond that, she was also a kind soul that comforted me when she learned of the death of my cousin, a fellow student at Haverhill High School. When she learned of this, she asked me to stay after class. First thought…I’m in trouble. Instead, I got to see the side of an educator who not only cared about my practical education and related progress, but was genuinely interested in my well being. She let me know that it was ok to hurt and that healing takes time. She shared stories of her life and made me feel, well, better. I’d like to think that I’m a more caring and sympathetic person today because of what I learned from Mrs. Peel. My deepest and sincerest condolences to her family. She was a wonderful lady with a caring soul. RIP.

  4. Nancy Griffin says

My sister, Virginia Corey Colucci and myself, Nancy Corey Griffin, want to express our deepest sympathy to your family Ann. We were both reminiscing about all the great times we had growing up together. My sister does not use the computer so she asked me to express her condolences. She said Mary would always stop by to see her when she was vacationing on the Cape. My sister now lives in Rhode Island near three of her boys. I still live in Andover with my daughter Amy. Danny and his family is the only one close by. My other three are scattered in California, Texas & Virginia. We remember all the fun on Sunday mornings at your house with delicious donuts. I’d love to hear from you, Ann.

My sister Virginia Corey Colucci and I Nancy Corey Griffin want to express our deepest sympathy to you Ann and your family. We so loved getting together with your family on many occasions, like Sunday mornings after church for drinks and donuts. My sister lives in Rhode Island now & lives near three of her boys. She told me to tell you she doesn’t use the computer so she asked me to speak for her. She mentioned that every time Mary was vacationing at the Cape she always made it a point to visit her. I still live in Andover with my daughter Amy. My son Dan & his family live close by; but my other three are scattered across the country in California, Texas & Virginia. I’d love to hear from you, Ann.
