Haverhill – Theresa M. (Thurlow) Nicholson, 92, passed away … at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Groveland, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Theresa (Manson) Thurlow. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1946. She then attended Burdette Secretarial School in Boston. For many years Theresa was employed at the former Western Electric, AT & T and Lucent Technologies as a coil winder. Her companion of over 45 years, Dick Johnson, passed in 2017. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and going out to eat with the girls. Theresa enjoyed volunteering at the hospital and attending all activities involving her children and grandchildren. She loved everyone getting together for holidays, birthdays and any event. Her family was always her first priority. Theresa was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Theresa is survived by her loving children, Stephen C. Nicholson of Lumberbridge, NC; D. Kim Walsh and her husband Richard of Haverhill; Lisa J. Wadsworth and her husband Frank of Haverhill; Michael J. Nicholson and his wife Margaret of Raymond, NH; Laurie A. Erickson and her husband Tod of Londonderry, NH; John P. Nicholson and his wife Angela of Center Ossipee, NH; grandchildren, Sabrina Pohlman, Vanessa Nicholson, Veronica Condo, Eric Nicholson, Danny Walsh, Keith Jones, Ricky Nicholson, Jason Wadsworth, Michael Nicholson, Jr., Ashley Pallozzi, Amanda, Chelsey and Tyler Erickson, Rachel Nicholson, Celia McGregor, Kaila Nicholson, Zachary Nicholson and Taylor Hatfield; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, David Nicholson, brother Arthur Benway and sisters Irene Benway and Florence Caron.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, July 15 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM in the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill at 10:00AM.
