Amesbury – Marguerite J. (Hartford) Martin, 80, passed away November 19, 2021 at Anna Jacques Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in West Epping, NH, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Virginia (Smart) Hartford. Raised and educated in Epping, she attend Epping schools and spent most of her life there. She was an assembler at the Chicks Leather Company in Haverhill for many years. Known for her great cooking, she loved playing cards. Family was everything to Marguerite and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was inseparable from her late partner James Darby for over 50 years. Marguerite will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marguerite is survived by her children, Virginia Martin of Haverhill; Margaret Rollins of Haverhill; Sandra Ellis of Colemont, TN; Albert Martin III of ME; and Donna Smith of TN; sister Virginia Plummer of Haverhill; eighteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Everett Martin, Sr., Clarence Martin, her partner James Darby, brother James Lavoie and late husband Albert F. Martin, Jr.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 23 from 4:00PM until 6:30PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.     Ginger, prayers for your mom, you and the entire family. As your mom soars thru the skies with angelic wings she leaves behind her footprints in the paths of life. Her journey here has ended where now only lifelong memories remain. Cherish them. Learn from them.
