Haverhill – Richard J. Michaud, Sr., 78 husband of the late Lorraine M. (Naduea) Michaud, passed away January 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Irene L. (Drouin) Michaud. Raised in Lawrence, he was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1961. For over 40 years Richard was a truck driver for Malden Mills. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and camping at Angle Pond Grove in Sandown, NH. Richard enjoyed playing bingo with his late wife and was devoted to her and his loving family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Richard is survived by his children, Stephen R. Michaud and his wife Shannon E. of Haverhill; Richard J. Michaud, Jr. of Haverhill; Timothy Michaud of Moscow, ME; brothers, Robert Michaud Sr. and his wife Ann of Derry, NH, Ronald Hayes and his wife Kelly of Lawrence and Thomas Hayes and his wife Laurie of Benton, ME; sister Irene Goulet and her husband Arthur of Lawrence; grandchildren Johnathon Preston, Justin, TJ, Cali and Austin Michaud, Savannah Michaud and Michael Lurvey, Jr.; great grandchildren Phoebe and Dinah Michaud. In addition to his wife he is predeceased by his son Edward Michaud.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, January 23 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 2:00PM. Burial will be on Monday at 1:00PM in Bellevue Cemetery, 170 May St., Lawrence.
