Haverhill – Therese (Bertrand) Roy, 94, wife of the late Adolphe O. Roy, passed away January 6, 2022 at home.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Gaspard and Osina Bertrand. Raised in Canada, after moving to the Haverhill area, she often returned to Canada to visit family. Therese also enjoyed traveling to Arizona, California, Utah and the Caribbean. For many years she worked as a long distance telephone operator. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Therese is survived by her son, Marc Roy and his wife Nancy of Eden, VT; daughter in law, Elisabeth (Roy) DiPinto; grandchildren, Philip Roy, Benjamin Roy and Jocelyn (Roy) Sheehan; great grandchildren, Ethan and Elliot Reynolds, Violet, Emma, Phineas, Felix and Magnolia Roy; sister, Alice Jeannotte of St. Jerome, Quebec, Canada; Joanne Ekstrom and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Adolph, she was predeceased by her sons, Robert Roy and Raymond Roy, sisters, Noella Labonte and Aline Desjardins and brothers Henri, Claude and Fernand Bertrand.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, January 27 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
