Andrea S. (Chaput) Goudreau January 25, 1969 - January 27, 2022

Date of Funeral

February 5, 2022

Pittsburg, NH – Andrea S. Goudreau, 53, wife of Alan D. Goudreau, passed away January 28 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

Andrea was so much to so many. We couldn’t have been blessed with a better Daughter, Sister, Mom, Mother-in-law, Memere, Wife and Friend.

Andrea’s Christian faith was the foundation of her life. It wasn’t always easy, but she did her best to love, forgive, show compassion and continue to build her relationship with God. She tried to go to God through prayer, especially for decisions, and always excitedly shared what God was doing in her life.

There will forever be a hole in our hearts that could only be filled by her. We will miss her bubbly personality, silliness, and amazing giggle laugh. We will always remember the way she made us laugh and smile… how she shared her love of games and photography, her joy when swimming and her passion for helping others.

Andrea loved spending time with her family and friends. She cherished time with her son, Jeremy, and his family. She was so happy to be a Memere and loved spending time with the boys. She treasured time with her loved ones and always made sure her nieces and nephews knew how much they meant to her. She was a kind and generous person, always ready to lend a hand or provide support when needed.

When Andrea put her mind to it, she could accomplish anything. In high school, she held leadership positions through all four years, including Students Against Drunk Driving President, Secretary and Junior Class Treasurer. She was involved in many activities including Key Club and the Student Advisory Committee. Later in life, she was integral to the family American Cancer Society Relay for Life team and volunteered numerous hours to support the event for many years.

A lifelong learner, Andrea enjoyed taking on an intellectual challenge and was always working to improve herself. In 2009, she completed her Associate’s degree from Northern Essex Community College and was excited to graduate with her son. She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Studies Organizational Leadership, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Southern New Hampshire University in 2019. Her strong work ethic and creativity shone through in everything she did.

Andrea was an avid New England Patriots Fan, supporting the Pats and Tom Brady through thick and thin… even naming one of her cats Captain Tom Brady and claiming Num1Patsfan as her email address. She was a true animal lover and they seemed to know it. She was the favorite auntie to all the pups in the family and she enjoyed welcoming many different kitties into her home over the years.

Andrea brought joy and kindness to everyone she encountered. She was a beautiful and incredibly generous person… everything we needed and loved all rolled into one. We will miss her forever and a day.

So many people touched by Andrea were praying for her to stay with us but God had other plans and after a courageous battle with a brief illness, Andrea went to heaven. The world lost a wonderful person and we will never be the same without her in our lives… we were blessed to have known her.

Andrea is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband Alan Goudreau of Pittsburg, NH; son Jeremy Chaput and his wife Mandy of Plaistow, NH; grandchildren, Landon and Gavin; mother Sheila Rogers of Haverhill; father Maurice Chaput and stepmother Gladys of Chelmsford; siblings, Lisa Lacourse and her husband Steve of Andover and their daughters, Amy and Heather; Jeffrey Chaput and his wife Heidi of Sandown, NH and son Jake and Daughter Mackenzie and sons Michael and Ryan Swarbrick; twin sister Amy Hogan and her husband Larry of Tucson, AZ and daughter Tricia Smith and fiancé Marcus, and their daughter Julia Presley and her husband Randy , their son Jacob Hogan and girlfriend Tuesday; Jim Chaput and his wife Trish of Chocorua, NH; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, step siblings and friends.
