Haverhill – Amelia M. (Alicea) Baez, 68, of Haverhill, wife of Antonio Baez, passed away January 20, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Thelmo and Amalia M. (Torres) Alicea. She lived in Baltimore, New York, Puerto Rico and settled in Haverhill. Amelia was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Glynn Memorial Hospital in Haverhill. She enjoyed crocheting, sunsets and roses and loved to travel with her husband. She was a strong woman who was vigilant in all she pursued. Amelia loved her family and spending time with them was her priority. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband Antonio of over 30 years, she is survived by her daughters, Amalia V. Baez and her partner Sean Osterman of Haverhill and Maria D. Alago-Blotner and her husband Jay of Tampa, FL; sisters, Mary Alicea of Leominster and Lourdes Mercado of SC; three grandchildren, Beverly J. Walker, Marjorie A. Vaccaro and David Blotner, three great grandchildren, Alexa M. Harper, Dezirae L. Rose, and Lillian C. Walker. She was predeceased by her brothers, Juan Alicea and Francisco Alicea.
