Roger W. Lyon

Lawrence – Roger Wrenn Lyon, 81 of Lawrence MA passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, February 25, 2022, joining his son Roy Albert who predeceased him in 2014.

Roger was born in Holden MA, son of the late Harold S. and Bernice C. Lyon, brother to Robert F., Raymond S. and Richard H. Lyon and was a graduate of West Boylston High School, Class of 1960.  He worked in two family business’ including Bee’s Yarn Shop and Lyon Brothers Siding.  From 1964 to the mid 1970’s he served the Town of West Boylston as ambulance driver and firefighter. He worked as a machinist for Worcester Controls and several other companies before retiring. An avid train enthusiast, one might come across him at Union Station in Worcester or out watching the trains as they moved through Worcester County.  He especially enjoyed time with family camping, bowling and being outdoors. Roger was a member of the West Boylston Congregational Church for many years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roger is survived by his wife Sally Ann (Arbogast) of 56 years, their daughter Ruth Ann Sullivan and her husband Sean Sullivan of Montpelier VT, son Frederick Harold Lyon of Lawrence, MA, daughter-in-law Julie Lyon of Brookfield, VT, grandchildren Sean Sullivan, Erin Ann Sullivan, Seth Albert Lyon and Trevor Anthony Lyon.

    I remember working with Roger at McDonald’s in Worcester many years ago. He was so kind… I’m so sorry for your loss.
