Haverhill – Michael J. Cerat, 75, husband of Linda (Johnson) Cerat, passed away May 16, 202 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Ernest J. and Beatrice (Desmarais) Cerat. Raised in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School and attended Merrimack College. Michael was employed as a Project Manager for Grinell Mechanical in Burlington until his retirement. An avid reader, he was always learning new things and was an intelligent man. Michael was very mechanical and could fix just about anything. He served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Michael served on the Board of Directors for 147 Amvets in Haverhill and was Treasurer. With his wife and family he enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Meredith, NH. Michael was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed, especially by his beloved dog Oliver.
In addition to his loving wife Linda, Michael is survived by his children, Daniel Cerat of Haverhill; Rebecca Tiano and her husband Phil of Nashua, NH and- Melissa Levesque and her husband Phill of Nashua, NH; grandchildren, Connor Cerat, Jeremiah Levesque, Paige Tiano and Sydney Stewart.
