Haverhill- Richard W. Amazeen Sr., 90, passed away on June 6, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Natick to the late George W. and Ruth M. (Webb) Amazeen, he was educated in Natick public schools. A traveling spirit even at an early age, he crossed the country three times before the age of fifteen. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed overseas. He returned home to Haverhill where he was employed as a truck driver for over sixty years, doing what he loved, traveling all over the USA. When he wasn’t on the road, he liked to take care of his yard. He loved his family and was married to his beloved wife Mary for over sixty one years.
He is survived by his son Richard W. Amazeen Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Plaistow; his daughters Joyce Hood of Arizona, Barbara Moschetto and her husband Tom of Manchester, and Alice Montoya of Haverhill ; his grandchildren Dana Amazeen, Michelle Amazeen, Curtis Savary, Lexy Savary, Tee Jay Savary, Tracey Hood, Karen Hood, Janae Woodside, Julie Woodside, Jason Woodside, Rachelle Ellis and her husband Mike, and Lanette Warner and her fiancé Doug Phaneuf; his great- grandchildren Paige Amazeen, Brianna Savary, Jake Savary, Josh Ellis, Nathaniel Ellis, Chloe Eaker and Colton Tedeschi; and his great-great- grandchild Della Hood.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary (Vadeboncoeur) and his brothers Wesley Amazeen and Michael Amazeen.
