Peter James Comeau, 49 November 30, 1972 - July 11, 2022

Boston – Peter J. Comeau, 49, of Groveland passed away on July 11, 2022 from injuries sustained in a tragic accident.

Born in Haverhill to William and Nancy (Ladebush) Comeau, he graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School with the class of 1990. For many years he worked alongside his father and brother in the electrical business that his father owned. While employed at Imtran Industries, he traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally. Though he would travel far and wide, his heart was always at home, it was here that he enjoyed camping at Lakewood cottages on Lake Winnisquam, being a ski lift attendant at Ski Bradford, and he also looked forward to plowing for his friends company every winter.

An avid sportsman; he played professional paint ball, loved to ski, enjoyed boating, and riding his motorcycle. But of all the sports that he played, none could compare to his role as the coach of his beloved daughter Victoria’s softball team. He was a loving son, brother , father, and grandfather.

He is known by friends as Gilligan (Gilly) he was loved by all. He was loyal to all his friends and they could call him any time day or night and he would be there. Some of his daughter’s friend considered him to be their second dad as he would listen or if needed give advice.

He is survived by his mother Nancy P. Comeau of Groveland; his daughter Victoria A. Comeau and her boyfriend Nicholas Lefavour of Haverhill; his brother Robert W. Comeau and his wife Alison of Methuen; his grandson Landon Lefavour; his niece Violet Comeau, his nephews Lincoln and Logan Comeau; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins; all of whom will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his father William Comeau.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday July 22, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street Haverhill, MA 01830. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 23 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery 892 Hilldale Ave., Haverhill.
