Sandra Maldonado, 63 February 14, 1959 - July 25, 2022

Haverhill – Sandra Maldonado, 63, passed away July 25, 2022 after a courageous and long battle with her family by her side.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Enrique Maldonado, Sr. and Carmen L. Gonzalez. She lived in Haverhill most of her life and attended Haverhill schools and Haverhill High School. For many years she worked throughout the Merrimack Valley as a cashier at various retail stores. Born on February 14, Valentine’s Day, she epitomized what it meant to have a big heart. The oldest of her siblings, she adored her family and would do anything for them. With her feisty and vibrant personality, she loved to dance and listen to her favorite music, especially Anita Baker and Prince. Sandra loved all animals, especially her dogs, Romeo and Juliette. A devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Sandra will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandra is survived by her mother Carmen L. Gonzalez and her daughters, Naomi Nunez and her long time partner George Zaharopoulos and Jizelle Arriaga, both of Haverhill; her longtime partner Michael Laureano of Manati, Puerto Rico; sisters, Yvonne Maldonado and her husband Miguel Sanchez of Haverhill; Carmen Maldonado-Milone and her husband Vito Milone of Methuen; brother Enrique Maldonado, Jr. and his wife Michelle Maldonado of Phoenix, AZ; six beloved grandchildren, Cesar, Isabelle, Eliza, Messiah, Josiah and Nicholas; and great grandchild Elvira along with several nieces and nephews.   Sandra was predeceased by her daughter Genesis Arriaga.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, July 28 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
