David M. Kneeland, 73 March 27, 1949 - September 27, 2022

David M. Kneeland, 73, formerly of Haverhill, died September 27, 2022 at his home in Sebastian, Florida.

David was born March 27, 1949, the son of Foster C. Kneeland of Boynton Beach, FL and the late Eleanor F. (Cantwell) Kneeland, longtime Haverhill residents.

David graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence in 1968, where he was a star quarter back and also played for Bridgewater State College as a running back. He later received a Bachelor’s degree in education from Bridgewater State College and a Master’s degree in business administration from Suffolk University.

Before his retirement, David was the longtime vice president of sales for Haverhill Cable and Manufacturing Corp., a company owned and managed by the Kneeland family.

David leaves his father, Foster Kneeland of Boynton Beach, FL; sisters Sandra (Kneeland) Casey and her husband, Hugh, of Boynton Beach, FL, and Susan (Kneeland) Rumore and her husband, John, of Atkinson, NH; nephews Joshua Kneeland and Charles “CJ’’ Casey, nieces Kate Fontaine, Erin Mulvaney, Sarah Fumia and Amanda Doherty and their families, including several of David’s great-nieces and great-nephews. David also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Eleanor, his brother, Thomas C. Kneeland, Thomas’ wife, Michaelyn “Micky’’ (Fraize) Kneeland. Thomas and Michaelyn were formerly of Haverhill.

A graveside memorial service will be held at St. James Cemetery, Primrose St., Haverhill on Saturday November 12 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
