Salem, NH – James J. Darge, 87, of Salem, NH, died on Wednesday, November 30 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. Mr. Darge was born on July 18, 1935 and was a graduate of Haverhill High School Class of 1954. Shorty after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving four years he was honorably discharged . Jim was employed for 35 years at Savoy Leather in Haverhill until its closing and then later worked at Metaltronics in Haverhill until his retirement. Jim was an active member of the American Legion and Free Mason Society in Haverhill and also a member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association. Jim enjoyed antiques and tools and was well known spending many years at the Salem and Grand View flea markets.
Jim was the beloved husband of Theresa L. (Gagne) Darge of Salem, NH. He was the loving father of Sandy Henry of Derry, NH, and Jody Yameen of Hamilton. He was the cherished grandfather of Tyler Henry and Amber Henry of Derry, NH, and Raymond Diehsner of Weymouth. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a son, James J. Yameen
