Haverhill – Lisa Dawson-Leavy, age 55 passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2022 after a battle with a rare form of cervical cancer but boy, did she put up a fight.
She was born April 25, 1967 in Malden to Geraldine & Robert Dawson. She was a graduate of Malden High School & grew up next door to her soulmate, Neal Leavy. They were together 40 years & had 2 beautiful children, Shayna & Ryan who were Lisa’s world.
She was a natural caregiver. Her entire career was helping people. She worked in the medical field as a Nurse & Medical Home Care Coordinator at Dr. Masucci’s Office for 15 years to her most recent job as a Program Supervisor at Healthy Families helping teenage mothers. She lived life to the fullest. Her slogan was, “Life is short, buy the concert tickets!” She was known to break out in dance at any moment. She showed her love through food. You could always find her in the kitchen whipping up new recipes & making a gravy for Sunday Dinner with an open invitation to anyone who wanted to stop by. Family time was everything whether it was playing the music game or Yahtzee, taking a ride to the beach blasting worship music, or spending time with the light of her life, her granddaughter, Charlotte. She is survived by many loved ones & made an imprint on everyone she crossed paths with.
