HAVERHILL, MA – Cynthia L. Chase-Klavenieks, 62, wife of David Klavenieks died on Monday June 5 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.

Cynthia was born in Haverhill on January 30, 1961 to Frederick and Carol (Early) Chase.  She attended Haverhill High School, Class of 1979 then went on to NECCO, earned a nursing degree from Bunker Hill. She worked for many years as a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Cynthia loved her animals, especially her horse named Smuggs and her 3 dogs. She enjoyed skiing, shopping and holidays with family; also going to the beach with the top down on her Jeep and traveling. Cynthia was a huge Patriots fan and also enjoyed the blues and rock and roll concerts. Cynthia was devoted to her family, a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Cynthia is survived by her children Elizabeth Coggins, Kissimee, FL, Thajaire Rodriguez-Callazo, Strongsville, OH, Victoria Perez and Anthony, Haverhill, Virginia Ross, Christopher Bridges, Haverhill, Dominic Bridges, Haverhill, Tyler Bonilla, Haverhill, Anthony Bonilla, Haverhill, and step-father Dana Wilson, Atkinson, NH. She is also survived by her grandchildren Madelyn Ullian, Amelia Perez, Sophia Perez, Catalina Colon, Castiel Rodriguez-Colllazo and Aizen Rodriguez-Collazo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cynthia is predeceased by her brother Todd Chase.

    I am sorry for your loss. I grew up with Cindy on S. Pleasant St. The last time I saw her was when I was 13 but I remember her well. She was a great friend.
