HAVERHILL – Patrick William Rose, age 61, a resident of Haverhill, MA formerly of Charlestown, MA entered into eternal life suddenly Friday, February 9 at his residence in Haverhill. He was 61 years of age.
Born into a military family at the Chelsea Naval Hospital in Chelsea, MA, Patrick was raised throughout the United States and Germany. Patrick is the loving son of the late John G. Rose and the late Mary Ellen Rose (Mullen).
Patrick and his siblings returned to his parent’s home state of MA where he graduated from Charlestown High School, Class of 1980. He played varsity basketball and excelled in his studies, art, and creative writing. He was a young man of few words yet a master of the English language. Patrick competed in the “Boston Photography Contest” taking first-place award among his competitors throughout all Boston Public High Schools. Ever the adventure seeking young man, he attended California State University, Fullerton and achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.
His communications skills brought him to a career in sales with both MCI Communications and Merrill Lynch. He was a sports enthusiast, a masterful chess player, enjoyed a good card game, and reading historical books. He had a dry sense of humor, a heart of gold, and a genuine sense of compassion. We could all count on a daily phone call from Pat, we will miss him immensely.
He is the beloved brother of Virginia Rose of CA, Michael J. Rose (Bonnie) of MA, Kathleen Chiampi (Robert) of MA, Mary Rose of MA and Carolyn Rose of MA. He is the dear uncle of Natasha Bradshaw (Michael Diegan) of OR, Nicholas Bradshaw (Jenna) of CA, Jason Richardson (Jill) of MA, Craig Richardson of MA and Nicole Andrade (Marcos) of GA. Patrick also leaves his loving cousins. He now rests with us in our hearts and we know that he is with our family members that have predeceased him.
