GROVELAND – Thomas M. Delmonaco, Sr., 93, of Groveland passed away on Thursday, February 8 at his home.
Thomas was born in Hull, MA to Pasquale and Mary (Coffee) Delmonaco. Thomas earned 4 degrees from Boston University including a PhD in education. He worked for Air Force independent schools in France, Germany, and Japan, Aramco schools in Saudi Arabia; and also Framingham State College, and the Pembroke school system. He was the superintendent of schools in Norfolk, MA from 1983 until 1992, where he had a library dedicated to him. Thomas moved to Groveland in 2005; he was an avid walker, skier and he loved to design and maintain landscapes. Thomas travelled to over 110 countries to explore his love of learning and adventure. He was a devoted husband and father and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his son Thomas M. Delmonaco, Jr. of Groveland and a daughter Patricia Delmonaco of Tewksbury. Thomas was predeceased by his loving wife Barbara (Bader) Delmonaco.
