HAVERHILL – Cheri Dawn Crider, 63, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at her home in Haverhill.
It is with deep sadness that we announce Cheri’s passing. Cheri was a beacon of hope and a light in the dark for countless people; she advocated for and worked tirelessly to escort trafficked and exploited survivors out of the sex trade and into safety. Cheri mentored, guided, empowered and inspired purpose in those at their most broken hour. She lobbied for change and devoted her remaining time with us to helping others, fueled by her own experiences and lack of support while she was trafficked in the early 1980’s. Cheri played a major role in the anti-trafficking movement for the past 45 years, and her presence will be felt and mourned by those whose lives she changed well into the future.
ARRANGEMENTS: We invite you to pay tribute with us on Friday, February 28, from 5PM until 8PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill, MA. She was a bright light for those who had the honor and blessing to serve the community beside her the loss is not just a loss for those who knew her but those who had not been touched by her selfishness and passion for helping others. You will be missed Cheri and in our thoughts.
