SALEM, NH – Roberta A. (Hamilton) Comeau, 90, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on May 15, 2025 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.
Roberta was born in Haverhill on October 18, 1934; she was the daughter of William F. and Catherine M. (Casazza) Hamilton and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1952. She worked for 38 years at Western Electric, after which she went to work at the Internal Revenue Service for 10 years from which retired, and was most recently employed until the age of 89 at the local Market Basket in Salem, NH. Roberta liked to go on day trips to the casino, and playing a friendly game of 45s. She was an avid bowler for many years, even playing on teams up until the age of 85. Roberta was also very artistic enjoyed crafting, painting and was a talented wedding cake maker, and also was known for her origami angels.
Roberta was a woman of strong faith and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen L. Crossman and Tom Haynes of Newton, NH, Katherine M. Bishop of Andover, and Karen R. Willis and her husband Tom of Salem, NH; her sisters in law Claire Hamilton of Dracut and Nancy Hamilton of Raymond, NH. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Sarah Crossman and Ryan Sowle, Emily Crossman and fiancé Zack Finethy, Robert Bishop, Corey Bishop, George Herman and Sheena, Scott Herman and Erica, and Cassandra Plourde and Adam Bergeron; and six great grandchildren: George A. Herman, Dezirae Blake, Zak Blake, Chrystal Williams, Lexi Quinn Bishop and Robert F. Bishop IV. She was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Comeau, and her brothers William Hamilton, Edward Hamilton, and her sister Mary Auriemma.
ARRANGEMENTS – Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 20th from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
