DERRY, NH – Roger Fred Roach, November 21, 1942 – May 17, 2025
Roger Fred Roach passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, at the age of 82 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Roger is survived by his brother William, five children (Karen, Tina, Steven, Keith, Kathleen), seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His life was defined by deep love for his family, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to making memories.
As the patriarch of his family, Roger was known for hosting large and joyful family Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations at his home in Chester that became treasured traditions, full of warmth and laughter. Moreover, his family enjoyed making memories in Prince Edward Island, where Roger was born, and where five generations of family celebrated summers.
A machinist by trade, Roger took his father’s advice to always strive to work for himself, and in the mid-1970s, he opened Instrument Industries Incorporated (later New England Affiliated Technologies) in his basement and watched as it grew to employ more than 100 people. Known for his ability to optimize companies and to create a culture that reflected his high expectations and kindness, Roger sold New England Affiliated Technologies in the late 1990s. After a semi-retirement, Roger returned to business with Nutfield Technologies, which he helped to revitalize before settling into retirement.
In his free time, Roger enjoyed his collection of classic cars, fishing, and traveling between his homes in Chester, Marco Island, and Prince Edward Island. However, most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his German Shepherd, Barron.
Roger will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, his resilience, and the unwavering love he gave to those around him.

May 20, 2025 at 4:01 pmRoger was my friend. He was loyal, kind, and always willing to listen. We had a great partnership both at NEAT and at Nutfield. My favorite times with Roger involved fishing. Once we spent 8 hours trying to catch tuna, which didn’t want to be caught. But coming back empty was the exception rather than the rule when it came to our fishing trips. We had a lot of great times down in Marco. Roger was always there when I needed him. I will miss Roger deeply.
