HAVERHILL – Marcia D. (Cram) Hamel, 69, passed away surrounded by family on June 16, 2025 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Marcia was born in Haverhill on July 19, 1955. She was the daughter of Waynne Cram and Shirley (Stickney) Collins and she attended Haverhill High School. Marcia was known to many as “Nonnie” or by her traditional American Indian name “Clearheart”. She enjoyed going to Pow Wows, reading, shopping, listening to music and doing crossword puzzles. She was very involved as a block parent and with neighborhood watch and organized trick or treats. She most of all loved visiting with family at her home.
Marcia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters Michelle Cannon and husband Daniel of Haverhill, Robin Hamel and her partner Ronnie Dow of Raymond, NH, Dawn Hamel of Bisbee, AZ, and Elizabeth Hamel and her fiancé Ronald Sears of Haverhill, her son Jason Hamel of Windham, NH, step sons Robert Hamel of Haverhill and Brian Hamel of Longwood, FL. She also leaves behind brother Waynne D. Cram of Northfield, NH, her best friend Patricia Lafontaine and husband Joseph, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Marcia was predeceased by her husband Edward A. “Butch” Hamel, Jr., her grandson David Trongeau, and her sister in law Janet Cram.
