Eileen B. (Kearney) Jameson, 96

HAVERHILL – Eileen B. (Kearney) Jameson, 96, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Manchester, NH to John L. and Madeline (McCarthy) Kearney.

The eldest of four children, Eileen attended Saint Joseph’s Girls High School, and Mt. St. Mary’s College. She later moved to Boston, where she worked for New England Telephone Company as a secretary for many years. She married Louis Jameson of Haverhill, MA in 1965 and their beloved daughter, Sheila, was born in 1967. After she was married, she worked for the City of Haverhill at the Haverhill Citizen Center as a secretary, a job she enjoyed for many years.

Eileen enjoyed traveling, including visits to Canada, the Caribbean, the West Coast and two extensive trips throughout Europe. She had the thrill of meeting several celebrities, including King Charles, Princess Diana, and John F. Kennedy.  She also enjoyed many summers at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. She was an avid reader from the time she received her first library card at 11 years old. She was never without a book in her hand.  She loved trivia, pop culture, antique shops, painting with watercolors, knitting, and quilting.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband Louis Jameson, her daughter Sheila Jameson, her brother Jack Kearney, and her sister Madeline Kearney. She is survived by her sister Anne Heath of Walla Walla, WA, nieces Caitlin Heath and Laurie Heath of Oregon, and her nephew Mark Landers of Haverhill.

The family wishes to send their sincere gratitude to Eileen’s caregivers and the staff at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, June 28 from 9:30AM until 11:30AM, followed by a funeral home chapel service at 11:30AM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
