Geraldine Rheaume, 98

SALISBURY – Geraldine Rheaume, 98, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025 at AdviniaCare Nursing Home in Newburyport.

Geraldine was born on April 28, 1927 in Haverhill; she was the daughter of Jeremiah and Susan (Thibodeau) O’Leary. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, and then worked as a Welfare Clerk for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 25 years. Over the years Geraldine was a lifetime member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and also received the Irish Woman of the Year award.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter Susan Souther, her grandchildren Christopher Curley and his wife Erin of Dover, Tammy Curley-Peterson and her husband Robert of Newburyport, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Rheaume and son David Rheaume, and infant great grandson Cameron Peterson.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, September 9th from 4PM until 6PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 10th at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in St. James  Church, 185 Winter Street, Haverhill.     Our deepest condolences for the loss of Geraldine. She was our cousin, from the Thibodeau family of Brantville, NB Canada.

    Out love amd prayers are sent to Susan amdbher family.
