Diane Marie Tompkins, 69, of Haverhill, MA, passed away on September 14, 2025.
Born Diane Bunting on May 8, 1956, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice (Welch) Bunting of South Boston. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Diane’s life was defined by the love she had for her family. She was married to John “Jack” Tompkins from 1977 to 2005.
She is survived by her loving siblings: Irene, Charlie, Edward, George, Frank, William, and Theresa. Diane also leaves behind her children: her daughter Michelle and her husband Freddy Rivera of Sandown, NH; her daughter Dianne and her husband Eric Clohecy, Sr. of Haverhill; and her son Christopher and his wife Stephanie Tompkins of Haverhill.
Diane leaves a lasting legacy in her grandchildren: Brian, Brandon, Joseph, Michael, Megan, Eric Jr., Justin, Ashlee, Adrianna, Nicolas, John Jr., Christopher Jr., Cody, and Camden. Her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandchildren: Jazmine, Denys Jr., Allanah, Julian, Nazir, Josiah, Zariah, Odonis, Leon, Joel, and Nico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elizabeth, and her cherished son, John Tompkins, who recently passed in May; and also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Joyce Tompkins. Her love and memory will forever be cherished by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
