Ernest Charles “Ernie” Sayers, 61, of Haverhill, died unexpectedly February 12, 2012, while visiting his girlfriend’s home in Bingham, Maine.Born in Haverhill, February 17, 1950, he was the son of Armand D., and the late, Thelma R. (St. Pierre) Sayers. He attended Haverhill public schools.A self employed handyman, Ernie was always ready to help anyone in need of odd jobs, whether it be painting, moving, yard cleaning, or winter snow removal. He enjoyed playing pool and sitting in on a friendly game of cards, and spending time with family and friends.He leaves his beloved companion of seventeen years, Janice J. (Vadeboncoeur) Gitschier, of Bingham, Maine, his father, Armand D. Sayers, of Haverhill, two brothers, Armand L. Sayers and his wife, Cheryl F. (Ganz), also of Haverhill, and Allan K. Sayers, and his wife, Glenda (White), of Kingston, NH, a niece, Kelly Barnes, aunts, uncles and cousins, and friends, who will miss him dearly.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Friday from 4 until 7 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in All Saints Church, Bellevue Ave. Haverhill. Burial is private.
