Billie Jo Adams, 43, of Lawrence, formerly of Haverhill, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Lawrence General Hospital after a lengthy illness.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Donald F. and Alice L. (Towne) Adams. She lived in Haverhill most of her life and attended Haverhill Public Schools.Billie Jo was a friend of Bill W. She had a special gift that was shared by the people who could relate to her. She often spoke publicly and touched many people by sharing her personal life experiences, hoping her audience could learn from listening. She was known for her keen wit and great sense of humor.She leaves a son, Christopher Cahill, of Florida, a daughter, Stephanie Cahill, of North Carolina, a brother, Calvin Adams, sisters, Donna High and Leona Adams, all of Haverhill, Kathleen Abraham and her husband, Norbert, of Salem, N.H., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Cole Adams, in 2003.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral services to be held on Saturday, May 23, at the Hannah Tenney Memorial United Methodist Church, 290 Main St., Salem, N.H. at 3:30 p.m., with Rev. Kathleen Towns officiating. Burial is private. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Hannah Tenney Memorial United Methodist Church, 290 Main St., Salem, NH 03079.
