Paul D. Goudreault Sr., 63, of Haverhill, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill, after a courageous battle with cancer.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Stella (Gigliotti) Goudreault Dame. He attended St. James Grammar School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. A Vietnam Veteran, Mr. Goudreault proudly served his country earning the Vietnam service medal, National Defense Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the rank of Corporal before being honorably discharged.Throughout his career, he was employed by various manufacturers in the area, Lockheed Martin, Boarden Chemical, Bailey’s and Bixby International. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, going to New England Dragway, and cherished the trip he and his late wife, June, took to Las Vegas.The widower of June L. (Cunningham) who died in 2007, he leaves his two sons, Paul D. Jr. and his companion Malissa Downey, David R. Goudreault, all of Bradford two daughters, Michelle D. Trent of Haverhill, Lori L. and her husband Shaun R. Moran, also of Bradford a brother and sister-in-law, David L. and Patricia Goudreault of Hampstead, N.H. four grandchildren, Kassidy Palies, Nicholas Goudreault, Karen Goudreault, Dino Trent Jr. several cousins, and nieces and nephews.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, March 25, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow with military honors in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill.
