Lawrence – Lorraine D. (Dubois) Bryson, 78, of Lawrence, died Sunday, August 4 at the Wingate at Andover after a six month battle of declining health.Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late, Alcide and Mildred (Boucher) Dubois. Educated in Lawrence she was a graduate of St. Anne’s Grammar School and St. Anne’s High School, class of 1953 and attended St. Augustine Church in Lawrence. Mrs. Bryson was primarily a homemaker and worked from her home as a Seamstress. At one point she did work in customer service for Almy’s Department Store’s window dressing department. When not at the sewing machine, she enjoyed collecting colored glass and had an extensive nut cracker collection, and studied her family genealogy.She leaves her beloved husband of 56 years, John R. Bryson, of Lawrence, a son James M. and his wife, Kathleen M. Bryson, of Haverhill, four cherished grandchildren Jennifer and her husband, James McAnich, Susan and her husband Gary Cummings, Kelly Bryson, and Jessica Silva, six great grandchildren Colin, Kevin, and Ryan McAnich, Alyvia and Emma Cummings, and Madison Hertel, brothers in law Michael and his wife Madeline Bryson, of Windham, NH, and Kevin and his wife Diane Bryson, of Cherry Hill, NJ. She also leaves several dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dianne L. Bryson. A lover of animals she also leaves her cat “Meow Meow”. Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday, from 4 until 7 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Barker St. Lawrence.
