Kenneth F. Issa, 69, of Haverhill, died Wednesday, September 19 at his home.Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada he was the son of the late George and Agnes (MacDonald) Issa. Raised and educated in Haverhill he was a Graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1960. A Veteran of the Vietnam War he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Lorraine Post V.F.W. in Haverhill.A house painter by trade, Ken was a self employed painting contractor and worked with many other contractors throughout the Merrimack Valley for many years. A friend of “Bill W.”, Ken was involved with helping people find peace with themselves for over thirty years. An avid card player, you could find him at a local Texas Hold’em game any night of the week.He leaves two loving daughters, Kendra J. Garrity of Derry, NH, Michelle E. Ekstrand of Weare, NH, three cherished grandchildren Amanda Gauvin and Jacob and Ethan Ekstrand two great grandchildren Alayna Gauvin and Grace Dionn two sisters, Joan McGuigan and Mary Foote, both of P.E.I., Canada, a neice Priscilla Eaton-Gabriel, of Haverhill, and sister in law, Dona Eaton, also of Haverhill.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday evening from 5 until 7:30 PM. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 PM. Committal with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM in the Veterans section of the Linwood Cemetery, Mill St. Haverhill.
