Haverhill – Charles I. Alexander IV, 73, of Haverhill died, Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Lawrence General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Charles I. III and Blanche (Walsh) Alexander. Educated in Salem, NH, he was a graduate of Woodbury High School, class of 1958. He was a member of the Merrimack Lodge of Masons in Haverhill and the Haverhill lodge of Elks. Mr. Alexander was employed as stock order clerk at the former Western Electric, A.T. & T. and finally Lucent Technologies in North Andover, retiring in 1998. An avid golfer, during his retirement he worked as a Ranger at the Atkinson Country Club. The widower of Constance (Connell) who died in 2005, he leaves his daughters Cara A. Alexander, of Haverhill and Amy L. Sudol and her husband, Michael, of Stetson, ME, Ginger Zahn, of Nashua, NH, Jennifer DeRoches, of Manchester, NH, and Jodi Alexander, of FL, two cherished grandchildren, Skylar and Jared Sudol.Friends and family are respectfully to call on Thursday from 4 until 6:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will follow at 6 PM in the funeral home.
