Jose Maysonet Sr.

Haverhill – Jose M. Maysonet Sr., 76, of Haverhill, died Sunday, May 18, at the Lawrence General Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly.Born, raised and educated in Manati, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Felipe and Clara (Gomez) Maysonet.After relocating to Haverhill in 1983, Mr. Maysonet was employed as a Baker, working at the Tripoli Bakery in Lawrence and later for the Fantini Bakery in Haverhill.A devoted family man, Jose was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. Aside from being a Baker by trade, gatherings with family and friends were always made special with his delightful culinary creations. Cooking however was not his only specialty, he was known for his gaming and enjoyed the challenge, and he claimed to be an undefeated domino player.He leaves his beloved wife of twenty-seven years, Cecilia (Gomez) Maysonet, of Haverhill, his loving children and stepchildren, Irma Maysonet, Gloria E. Maysonet, Aracelis Maysonet and her husband, Gary Turnerhill, all of CA, Luis Maysonet and his wife, Elizabeth, of Haverhill, Carlos Guadalupe, Migdalia Joubert, Karen Guadalupe, Eliot Guadalupe, and Elizabeth Maysonet, brothers, Andre Maysonet, Felix Maysonet, and Francesco Martinez, sisters, Maria Maysonet, Milagros Maysonet, and Miyaya Maysonet, grandchildren, Juan Maysonet, Kenisha Maysonet, Karina Maysonet, Giovanni Kemp, Carlos Garcia, Yanitza Harris, Irmary Garcia, Marisol Turnerhill, Crystal Turnerhill, Luis O. Maisonet Jr, Brandon L. Maisonet and Carlos Guadalupe, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Jose m. Maysonet Jr.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. A private burial will take place at a later date in Puerto Rico.
