Haverhill – Christos N. “Christy” Rathosis, 83, of Haverhill, passed away March 14, 2015 at the Oxford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health.Born in Providence, RI, son of the late, Nicholas C. and Angelina (Langes) Rathosis he attended Providence public schools and was a graduate of Providence Central High School, class of 1949. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1954.Mr. Rathosis was employed as a Manager at the Mitchell’s Retail Department Store, he also tended bar for George K.’s in downtown Haverhill, and he also managed a Dunkin Donuts along with his former wife. Never idle, Christy enjoyed working in the service industry during his retirement he worked at the Market Basket Supermarket where he enjoyed socializing with the customers. An avid sports fan, he attended Red Sox games and loved cheering on the Boston Bruins.He leaves his loving son Nicholas C. Rathosis, of Tilton, NH, a daughter Angelina Marie Konstantinou, and her husband, George, of Greece, two granddaughters, Angela and Rosalie Konstantinou and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a period of visitation on Tuesday morning, March 17, from 9:30 until 10:30 at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. A Funeral Mass will then follow at 11:00 AM at the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154-156 Winter St. Haverhill.
