Wilmington – Evelyn F. McCarthy, 92, formerly of Malden, passed away February 1, 2015 at the Woodbriar of Wilmington after a lengthy illness.She was born in Medford, September 17, 1922, the daughter of the late, Jeremiah J. and Catherine (Hutchinson) McCarthy. She attended Medford public schools and was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1941. She then continued her education at the Manchester Business School in Boston.Miss McCarthy was employed as a bookkeeper for the T.R.W. Corporation for over forty-three years, retiring in 1984. She love traveling and did so as often as possible, however, being an aunt to many loving nieces and nephews, she cherished her time spent with family. She leaves nieces and nephews, Kathleen M. Boland and her husband Robert, of Marstons Mills, Eileen Shuman and her husband Richard, of Myrtle Beach, SC, William J. McCarthy, of York, ME, Michael J. McCarthy and his wife, Peggy, of Nashua, NH, James “Chip” Cannon and his wife, Sally, of Deerfield, NH, Lynn and Steven Larrabee, of CA, John and Lynn Cannon, of Londonderry, NH, Stephen Cannon, of Woburn, Robert and Beverly Tremblay, of Texas, and Paul Tremblay. She also leaves a sister, Kathleen Cannon and her husband, James, of Woburn.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service for Miss McCarthy on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the Kevin B.
