Hampstead, NH – Roderick J. Rogers, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at Parkland Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.Rod was born and raised in North Andover, to parents Frederick Rogers and Margaret (Devine) Rogers. Margaret was from Scotland and Rod was always proud of his Scottish heritage. Rod graduated from North Andover High School and then enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for several years.After his return from service, he married Patricia Hebb and they had three children, Carol Rogers, John D. Rogers, and Shawn “Mick Rogers. Rod and Patricia raised their family in Haverhill. He worked for Western Electric/Lucent Technologies in North Andover for over 40 years. In retirement, Rod was an avid golfer who could be found at Crystal Springs Golf Club almost every day of the week where he enjoyed playing golf with all of his friends.A devoted husband and father, Rod will be missed by his wife, Patricia, daughter Carol Rogers, son John D. Rogers and his wife Pamela Zartman Rogers, son Shawn “Mick” Rogers and his wife Christina White Rogers of Plaistow, granddaughters Candi and Rylee Rogers, and great grandson Christopher Rogers.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 4th from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery, Kent Farm Road, Hampstead, NH. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
