Haverhill – John A. Finnin, 68, husband of Auerlia T. “Irene” (Porabik) Finnin, passed away on October 23rd at his home surrounded by his loving family.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late John A. and Rose (Goodrich) Finnin. Raised and educated in Haverhill he attended Haverhill Public Schools. Fascinated with technology, he was a computer consultant for many years working for various companies. Mr. Finnin was the owner of a video store, Release Point, for 15 years. In addition to his love of technology and computers he was also an avid movie buff. He followed the New England sports scene watching the Red Sox, Bruins and New England Patriots teams. Mr. Finnin was a black jack and craps dealer at the Foxwood Casino and Horizons Edge Casino in CT. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.Surviving him in addition to his wife are three children John P. Finnin of Haverhill, Lisa E. Coveney and her husband Timothy “TJ” of Plaistow, NH and Margaret “Peggy” Jackson of Lake Wales, FL a brother, Wayne P. Goodrich of Merrimac and a sister, Jane McLaughlin of Atkinson, NH and two grandchildren, Benjamin Coveney and Finn Coveney. He is predeceased by his sister Marie LaBatte and brother Monte Goodrich.At the request of the family services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B.
