Haverhill – Cindy J. Wood -Tierney, 60, passed away unexpectedly on December 19th at Holy Family at Merrimack Valley Hospital. Born in Haverhill she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Joyce (Smith) Wood. She attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1973. She then attended Northern Essex Community College for Business.A lifelong collector of fine antiques, she owned and operated Antique World located on Washington Street in Haverhill for close to 20 years. Cindy was well- known as a sharp, successful business woman. She had a great sense of humor as there was a story attached to every antique she encountered.Cindy was the only girl in a family of eight brothers. She was known to have a big heart and cared about her family deeply. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. A lover of animals, she especially loved her German Shepherds, Dutchess, Shyla, and Nellie.She leaves her two loving children, a son, Evan R. Tierney and his wife Beth of Haverhill her daughter, Elizabeth J. Tierney of Haverhill and her granddaughter, Chloe A. Tierney also of Haverhill her brothers, Rodney S. Wood of Haverhill Philip M. “Pep” Wood and his wife Patricia of Haverhill Harold E. “Bud” Wood and his wife Kathy of Bradford Tracy S. Wood and his wife Ruth of Danville, NH Craig M. Wood and his wife Diane of Bradford and Jaimie S. Wood of Haverhill her aunts, Midge Wood of Plaistow, NH and Shirley Downs of England an uncle, Philip Smith of England and several nieces, nephews and cousins locally and in England. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Donald J. Wood and Garry K. Wood her uncles, Donald Wood and Les Downs.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 22nd from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
