Haverhill – Richard J. Lesiczka, 68, beloved husband of Mary L. (Sullivan) Lesiczka, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage, passed away on Sunday, January 17th surrounded by his loving family.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Mary A. Lesiczka of Haverhill and the late Stanley W. Lesiczka. He attended St. James Grammar School and was a graduate of St. James High School, Class of 1964. He was a graduate of UMass Lowell with a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired from Lucent Technologies in North Andover, where he was employed for over 34 years. Richard served his country in The United States Army Reserve. He will be remembered for his commitment to always do good for others.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.Surviving him in addition to his loving wife and his mother are his children Matthew J. Lesiczka and his wife Christa M. of Boston, and Kathryn J. Wolman and her husband Daniel of Chelmsford two grandchildren, Hannah and Joshua Wolman of Chelmsford a sister, Joanne Carbone of Atkinson, NH in-laws John and Janice Sullivan of Palmdale, CA Joan Sullivan and Barbara Sullivan, both of Haverhill and a nephew, nieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncle and several cousins.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on January 22, from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Saturday morning at 9:00AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Open Hand Pantry, 6 Cottage Street, Haverhill.
