Stephen Blackey

Haverhill – Stephen T. Blackey, 55, passed away on Tuesday, July 12 at the Lakeview House Nursing Home in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family.Born in Haverhill he was the son of Charlotte J. (Batchelder) Blackey and the late Ernest Blackey. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he attended Haverhill High School. He worked as a laborer in construction for many years. Stephen was avid NASCAR fan and loved to play horseshoes. He could be seen riding around town on his bicycle or hanging with his dog. He loved spending time with his family and friends.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Michael Blackey of Framingham Judy Lajoie and her husband Daniel of Burlington, VT David Blackey of S. Carolina Darlene Paquette and her husband Darius of Wolfboro, NH Dwayne Blackey of Haverhill Tina Muir and her husband Todd of Haverhill and Daniel Batchelder of Seneca, S. Carolina and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters, Cynthia Weiner and Susan DeRoche.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 18 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Broadway, Haverhill.
