Haverhill – Joseph A. Dupont, 93, husband of the late Margaret L. (Comeau) Dupont, passed away on Friday, April 8 at Penacook Place in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Philip and Clara (Langevin) Dupont. Raised and educated in Haverhill he was a graduate of St. James High School, Class of 1942 . He was married to the love of his life Margaret for 70 years. He was a gentle, caring man who was always ready to lend a helping hand. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and great storytelling abilities. He enjoyed telling stories about growing up in Haverhill , especially times spent with the “Walnut Square Gang” during the Depression Era. He also loved listening to his late grandson Matthew sing and play guitar. Joe was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox. He also enjoyed many years of vacationing in North Conway with his family.He is survived by his daughter, Donna M. Ryan of Bradford his son in law William Perrone his grandchildren, Maureen and her husband William Early Melissa White Christopher Perrone his great grandchildren, Taylor and Sara Early Sydney and Madison White Luke and Jacob Ryan. He also leaves his lifelong friend David Lane who brought much happiness with his visits. He was predeceased by his daughter Judith E. Perrone, his sister Irene Dupont CSJ, his grandson Matthew J. Ryan and his wife Amy K. (Chiefari) Ryan.Funeral service will be private. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
