Candice M. “Candy” (Gilfus) Morse, 67, of North Andover, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully after diabetes related complications on Monday, January 16, 2017, at the Sutton Hill Rehabilitation Nursing Home in North Andover.Candy was born in Haverhill on June 15, 1949, to the late Leroy and Marilyn (Faul) Gilfus. She is a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1967. Candy was employed by Building 19 for more than 20 years and truly enjoyed the work and friendships that she developed until retiring in 2012.The widow of the late Bartlett Morse, Candy is survived by her dear sons Bryan Morse and Jeffrey Morse, his partner Melissa and daughter Kendra of Haverhill. In addition, Candy leaves her grandson Jeffrey Morse Jr. of Haverhill, whose selfless love will live on forever.Candy is also survived by her sister Sandra Perkins and her husband Clifton of Haverhill, her brother Raymond Gilfus and his wife Maria (Hayes) of Salisbury, Russell Gilfus and his partner Eugene Silva of Boston and Dennis Gilfus of Haverhill. Candy also left a very special brother in law Rick Morse who was always there when she needed him, and many nephews including Matthew Perkins, Jason Gilfus, Tyler Gilfus and a beautiful niece Sarah Gilfus who predeceased her.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a calling hour on Saturday, January 28 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM in the funeral home. Because of Candy’s love for animals, the family requests donations are made in her memory to MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
