Penny Norton

Haverhill – Penny (McKenney) Norton, 66, wife of Ronald Norton, passed away February 17, 2017 at Wingate Nursing Home in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.Born in Sufferen, New York, she was raised by her grandparents, Floyd and Lillian Conklin. She attended Suffern High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1968. She was employed at the former Hale Hospital for over 20 years and the Stevens – Bennet Home for 17 years, both in Haverhill. Penny was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to cook for family get- togethers and enjoyed watching one grandson play baseball and football games at Whittier Tech and listening to the other playing guitar. Her most precious moments were spending time with her children and grandchildren who affectionately called her Mammy. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Scott P. Norton of Haverhill Kimberly J. (Norton) Zappala two grandchildren, Ryan Goodreault and Zachery Norton step great grandchildren, Logan and Grace Robertson, Bailey Zappala a sister, Roseann Rogers of Louisiana several cousins including Judy Debrino and Jody Zero and David and Irma Martine and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, February 25 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will follow at 5:00PM in the funeral home.
