Atkinson, NH – Donald L. DeVeau, 90, husband of Edith A. (Russell) DeVeau, passed away May 8, 2018 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Etta M. (Comeau) DeVeau. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1946 and was honorably discharged. Donald was employed at the former Western Electric, former AT&amp T and Lucent Technologies and retired in 1983. He served as Vice President and President of the Telephone Pioneers of America. In 1992 he moved to Bryant Woods where he was very active in the community there, enjoying gardening. Donald will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his loving wife of over 67 years, he is survived by daughters, Donna L. Hopkins and her husband William of Bow, NH Leslye K. “Lee” Kifer and her husband Robert of Leominster, MA his grandchildren, Jason Hopkins, Hannah Joy (Hopkins) Smith and her husband Geoffrey, Sarah Kifer and Amy Kifer a brother, Ralph DeVeau of CA sisters Claire Abrams of Salem, NH Eunice Braithwaite of Joppa, MD Jeanette Duarte of Miami, FL Joanna Christian of FL and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Lucien, Hubert, Norman and Conrad DeVeau and sisters Myrna Newell and Roberta Dumont. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
