Elinore Owens

Haverhill – Elinore P. (Leslie) Owens, 86, wife of the late Harold Owens, passed away September 20, 2016 at Wingate Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Towne) Leslie. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1948. She then attended LeBaron School of Hairdressig in Haverhill and worked as a hairdresser for many years from her home. Elinore was employed at the former Hale Hospital in the Dietary Department for ten years. She enjoyed playing bingo and would travel far and wide for a game. Elinore is survived by her children, Diane Coy and her husband Arthur of Haverhill Cynthia Wallace of Sandown, NH Dorothy Mailloux and her husband Michael of Haverhill Thomas Owens and his wife Dawn of Haverhill Brian Owens of Nashua, NH Lisa Vasquez and her husband Manny of Haverhill fourteen grandchildren two great grandchildren a brother, William Leslie, of Beverly, and several nieces and nephews.
