Haverhill – Jayne L. (Grandmont) Sherman, 80, wife of the late George F. Sherman, passed away January 6 at Wingate Nursing home in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.Born in Andover, she was the daughter of the late Theodore E. and Helen W. (Fisher) Grandmont. She was a dietician at the Former Hale Hospital in Haverhill for 16 years. She was also employed at Alden Merrill Baking Company and in the Bakery at Shaws Market. Jayne enjoyed going for rides throughout the White Mountains in New Hampshire. She was a homebody who loved to read and listen to the music of her era. She looked forward to spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jayne is survived by her children, Lisa A. Hayden and Lewis F. Poore, Jr. of Haverhill Lorene Mclaughlin-Zakrewski and her husband Kevin of Castleton, VT two grandchildren, Tyler Whiteside and his wife Amy, Robert Whiteside, Jr. great grandchildren, Brooke, Jax and Karlie Whiteside Colby Whiteside a daughter in law, Deborah McLauglin of NH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Terry McLaughlin and Robin E. McLaughlin her siblings, Theodore E. Grandmont, Jr., Sandra Balukas and Daniel DeFlorio.
